Free access to the Historical Library
It is possible to enter the Monumental Hall and visit the Museum Collections free of charge (without a guided tour) from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guided Tours
The service is aimed exclusively at Italian and foreign secondary schools, universities, academies and cultural institutions, and is offered by agreeing an appointment and any further details with the office in charge of the service.
The days dedicated to this service are Tuesdays from 09.00 to 13.00 and Thursdays from 14.00 to 18.00.
Lectures and Seminars
It is possible for university lecturers to hold individual lectures or a series of meetings for a limited number of students (max. 15-20), using the Library’s bibliographic resources. The modalities for carrying out these activities must be agreed with the Library well in advance.
Lessons may be held on Wednesdays between 09.00 and 13.00 or on Tuesdays between 14.00 and 18.00.
Paid Guided Tours
Cultural associations, tour operators specialised in historical-artistic itineraries, and organised groups can benefit from reserved guided tours for a fee, which include – upon request – the exhibition of some ancient and rare volumes from the Library’s collections, illustrated by a curator of the collections, with the presence of an assistant.
The service is offered in the afternoon (before 6.30 p.m.), or in the evening (after 7.00 p.m. when the Library is open for special opening hours), according to the fees established for concessions of use and services on behalf of third parties.
